Class Memories From 1955

Reggie Devaux was a caring funny teacher and I was blessed to have him as a friend at Weaver and afterward. I came to Weaver from St. Joe's where I was a B student most of grammar school. But along the way, my dad died and I started going downhill. But the time I got to Weaver I cared nothing for school and refused to do any work. It was a mixed up time for me. Only my friends hanging out at Maxwell's at night brought me joy. I still don't know how I ever graduated on time as I did nothing. But I was 17 and very immature. I have the USAF to thank for turning me around.
It was like a light suddenly went on and I excelled. After that and thanks to Mr. Devaux I got into college and reversed everythingl.
And thanks to Dick McGill (Wever 1956) for getting me to enlist.
